Don’t forget to visit the church of Saint Francis with beautiful frescos of Benozzo Gozzoli. Second stop is to visit Bevagna, with its wonderful medieval square and its medieval workshops. Still nowadays it is possible to assist to the production of paper or leather or wax according to the old traditional way of many centuries ago! And Bevagna preserves also roman mosaics!!! After breakfast check out and departure to visit Assisi and its marvelous Giotto Frescos in the Upper Basilica of Saint Frances. Protected by Unesco as a human Heritage site, Assisi has a lot to offer both to art lovers and religious visitors! The old Rocca, and the mystic cathedral, and the narrow medieval streets of the old towns make of Assisi a place to be! From Assisi in about 50 minutes you will reach the new accommodation near the Lake Trasimeno, a charming Agriturismo on the hills between Castiglione del Lago and Tuscany. Roberto and his wife will welcome you with his wine, his oil and his products! Time for relaxing by the pool or to visit the beautiful surroundings.

After breakfast, today you will discover Lake Trasimeno. To live the lake in the best way we have different options: the first one is to go to San Feliciano to discover a nice protected Oasis where migratory birds stop during the journey from North Europe to north Africa. Later you will meet real local fishermen who will take you fishing with them (optional with supplement- see below). Tour around Polvese Island. At the end clients will have a rich taste of fresh fried lake fish with wine. Instead of this program clients can choose to visit Maggiore Island. They will board a ferry from Passignano to Maggiore Island. This is one of the 3 islands of the lake; only 18 people live in it! It is a magic place, so far away from noise, people and crowd. Here you can take a walk of approximately 1 hour (3 km- level easy) to discover unspoiled nature where pheasants live free in olive groves, than you can visit the little San Michele Church with beautiful frescos, the ruins of an old castle, the place where Saint Francis used to pray and the tiny fishermen’s village where still nowadays old women are used to work their laces according to an old Irish tradition on the main road of the village. It is possible to have a lunch with lake fish in one of the restaurants. At the end of the day we suggest you an aperitif in San Feliciano to enjoy the most beautiful sunsets of central Italy!
