Day 1 - ARRIVAL
Day 2 - POLIGNANO AND MONOPOLI
Morning - Private Catamaran tour of Polignano coast
Enjoy a wonderful day of sailing along the Adriatic coast. The catamaran tour starts from the Cala Ponte Marina in Polignano a Mare. You will sail towards the historic center where it is possible to admire the famous Lama Monachile and the Grotta Palazzese. If the weather conditions allow it, the catamaran will stop near the cave (Grotta Palazzese) and it will be possible to visit the inside by sups. An aperitif with soft drinks and prosecco is served on board. A private transfer from and to your accommodation is included.
4 courses menu with wine pairing at the famous Grotta Palazzese, one of the top if not the top restaurant in Polignano built in a cave directly on the sea.
Private guided tour of Monopoli. This old town is a typical Apulian gem replete with quaint narrow streets, pretty squares, and a picturesque harbor where you can take nice pictures and enjoy a nice gelato by the sea. A private transfer from and to your accommodation is included.
Day 3 - ALBEROBELLO AND LOCOROTONDO
Morning - Private guided tour of Alberobello with picnic
Visit Alberobello, the Trulli town. Guided tour of Alberobello with a local guide: history information and Trulli construction methods. Panoramic views, visit the trullo church, visit of an ancient trullo house with traditional furniture. The experience ends with a picnic in the beautiful countryside of Valle d’Itria, between olive trees and vineyards. A private transfer from and to your accommodation is included.
Private visit of a family-owned winery in Itria Valley. A journey to learn about the history of the estate, understand how an indigenous wine is born and admire the Winery, an example of meticulous respect for the environment set in the suggestive Valle D’Itria. The visit starts with the presentation of the owner, proceeds to the visit of the vineyards; continues with the visit of an ancient farmhouse of 1600 restored and left in the rupestrian state and ends with a visit to the brand new cellar where the various stages of wine production are illustrated. In the end, tasting of some representative wines of the estate accompanied by some local snacks.
Locorotondo is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Stroll through the characteristic alleys in bloom in this pretty white village. A transfer back to your accommodation is included.
Day 4 - OSTUNI
Morning - Olive oil tasting and lunch in Masseria
Visit Masseria Il Frantoio, one of the oldest olive oil mills in Puglia located in the countryside near Ostuni and surrounded by the gorgeous landscapes of thousand-year-old olive trees. Enjoy olive oil tasting and traditional lunch. Masseria Il Frantoio is that corner of Puglia that you’ve always dreamed to experience. A private transfer from and to your accommodation is included.
Private guided tour of Ostuni, the white city. Rich in history and breathtaking landscapes, Ostuni is one of the most fascinating villages in southern Italy. On board a Calessino, you will admire the valley below full of olive trees overlooking the Adriatic Sea. A private transfer from and to your accommodation is included.
Day 5 - MATERA
Morning - Private transfer to Matera with winery visit and lunch
You will spend a relaxing day full of wine and delicious food as you make your way to Matera. We have chosen a lovely winery for you to visit and this guided tour will take you to discover the beating heart of the estate: the area dedicated to sparkling wine, the tunnels for long refinements at about 10 metres below ground level, the barrel cellar and much more. If the weather conditions permit, you will also enjoy a walk in the vineyards and enjoy a spectacular view of the surrounding area from the panoramic terrace. The wine tastings will take place in a dedicated room, equipped with uniquely designed tables. Tasting is combined with typical local products.
Matera, the Sassi town, is famous for movies like “The Passion of Christ” and the latest “James Bond No time to die”. The UNESCO World Heritage-listed rock city of Matera stretches over a steep cliff, so exploring it on foot can be tiring.
Explore as much as possible without getting tired with this tour aboard an authentic Italian Ape Calessino (Tuk Tuk) with the help of a local guide. Zip through the streets of the historic Sasso Caveoso neighborhood to admire the main churches, rupestrian churches and public squares snapping photos of the famous cave houses and views of the surrounding valley. Day 6 - LECCE
Morning and Lunch - Transfer to Lecce and Wine tasting with lunch
After breakfast, check-out and private transfer to Lecce. Lecce is an important stage for art and culture lovers. In fact, it is the main Baroque city in southern Italy. On the way stop in one of the top fortified masserie in Puglia that today is one of the Primitivo producer wineries. Experience a visit of the vineyards, learn about the grapes’harvest and production methods. Tour followed by light lunch with wine pairing.
Meet your guide for a private guided tour of Lecce. Lecce is an important stage for art and culture lovers. In fact, it is the main Baroque city in southern Italy. Walking in the city center is a dive into the past, between churches and antique buildings that keep precious details and decorations. While walking, enjoy some of the local food delicacies such as pasticciotto, rustico and caffè leccese. You will love this deep dive into Lecce art and culture!
Day 7 - OTRANTO
Morning and lunch - Private cooking class in Lecce
Your private chef Gianna will meet you at your accommodation. She will take you to the local market to buy the ingredients for your cooking class. Food preparation and lunch at her studio. Uncover the secrets of Pugliesi family recipes from your host sharing their wisdom which has been passed down for generations. With Gianna, you will live a wonderful experience and bring home great memories, together with the recipes of the dishes you have cooked.
Enjoy a peaceful walk through the charming center of Otranto with a local guide. Learn about the coastal town's history and take in the beautiful landscape surrounding Otranto. The tour is followed by relaxed trekking at the Orte bay and bauxite caves. A private transfer from and to your accommodation is included.
Day 8 - MANDURIA AND GROTTAGLIE
Morning and Lunch - Private wine tasting in Manduria
Visit one of the top Primitivo producer wineries. This winery has rightfully entered the range of those winegrowers tied to traditions wishing to save old vineyards and keep their features alive. The vines are mainly trained with a small bush Pugliese system and grow on limestone-clayey red soil and are caressed by the breeze coming from the Ionian sea and the warm Apulian sun. Enjoy a tour of the winery and taste local food specially created by the chef at the winery.
Visit Grottaglie, a small pottery town in the central part of Apulia, near the port city of Taranto. Inconspicuous, little known, with a small number of tourists, hides a very important ceramic industry. The only city in the world with a district exclusively dedicated to ceramic factories and artists. You will meet an artisan (a maestro della Ceramica) in his studio and learn the techniques of ceramics and the history of Grottaglie. You will live a very authentic and insightful experience.
Day 9 - DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport and catch your flight back home.
