In the three-night and 4-day itinerary, the Vitorchiano trek “The suspended village” is added to the previous ones. The peculiarity of this ancient settlement that has Etruscan origins lies in the fact that both in Roman and medieval times, the houses were not in masonry but simply dug underground, with wide views from the cliffs towards the gorge. In addition to the underground cavities that characterize the site, along the route there are many testimonies left by man and among these the remains of a medieval church surrounded by a small cemetery with anthropomorphic tombs, a mill and the remains of the castle of Corviano.
